The verse none of us like that is as true of us as it was for Ezra and the people of his day:

Ezra 9:6 (ESV) — 6 saying: “O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift my face to you, my God, for our iniquities have risen higher than our heads, and our guilt has mounted up to the heavens.

If we would only realize the depth of our sin, then there is possibility for rescue. Quit looking at the sins of others before you take a look at your own heart. Quit thinking that you deserve the privilege of the presence of God and realize that it is only grace that gives you access to Him.

Perhaps we need to blush a little more in the presence of God?
