Think of these words from one of the songs we’ll be singing this Sunday:
For nothing good have I
Whereby Thy grace to claim;
I’ll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb.
And now complete in Him,
My robe, His righteousness,
Close sheltered ’neath His side,
I am divinely blest.
Wow! We are singing to God, Who did all those wonderful deeds. You did not deserve it. Nothing you can do will earn it. God looked down upon you – a wretched, sinful, selfish, cruel, evil enemy of His, and Christ willingly came down to earth to show His Glory, to show the love that existed among the Trinity, to YOU. Bask in that as you listen and sing through the songs we will be singing to such a magnificent, powerful, loving, holy One.
